Production Coordinator

Reports to: Marketing Communications Manager
Scope of the Position:
Develop and manage the flow of document production between service managers, editors and outside word processing/graphic and printing vendors.
Responsibilities Include:
Document formatting and copy layout as well as assist in the design of templates, graphs, and charts; printing and coordinating distribution to clients.
Review and proof document for format, corporate design consistency, and provide overall quality assurance.
Manage and drive production of multi-client publications with internal HSG staff and external vendors to meet key deliverable dates.
Daily interface with internal HSG managers and client support team; maintain clear and accurate communication with team members to assure priorities and schedule status are known.
Maintain production budget for each project.
Act as main point of contact for production of your projects.
Assist with regular updates to the web site.
Develop own knowledge and job skills and apply/share new knowledge to improve self and team performance.
Skills Required:
Strong PC skills with advanced Word, Excel, and Power Point capabilities
Working knowledge of common industry software applications (Photoshop, Quark, Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, etc.)
Knowledge of industry specifications and their terms (i.e., fonts, PMS, colors, paper stocks, etc.)
Understanding of print production.
Basic Understanding of graphic design.
Strong planning, organization and solution skills.
Superior proofreading skills; highly detail-oriented.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Able to handle multiple projects and client demands under tight deadlines.
Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment without losing site of long and short term goals.
Self-starter with high energy level and initiative.
Experience:
A minimum two-years experience in a production environment with project management experience.
BA/BS in Marketing Communications, English or related field is preferred.
Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry not required but is a plus.
